The Convention & Visitors Bureau was established December 15, 1986 to assist the hotel and hospitality industry with marketing and sales efforts and to promote north suburban Chicago as a tourism destination. Representing the municipalities of Prospect Heights, Mount Prospect and Wheeling, the bureau also retains a membership base consisting of numerous attractions, restaurants, shopping and entertainment venues, recreation facilities and other travel related companies throughout Chicagoland.
Our mission is to market Chicago's North Suburbs as a meeting and leisure destination; soliciting convention and group business; engage in visitor promotions that generate overnights stays in the hotels; retail, food and beverage sales; expenditures at attractions, festivals, events and other visitor related businesses; thereby enhancing the economic stability of the area.
